We recently hosted an incredible Technical & Behavioral Interview Workshop with Bloomberg Industry—an organization that blends tech, AI, and analytics to build tools for professionals in law, tax, and government. This event was filled with valuable insight on Bloomberg’s mission, engineering structure, and how to prepare like a pro for interviews.

Bloomberg Industry focuses on building software that brings real-time, intelligent insights directly to the customer. Their key verticals include:

• Law: Creating workflow tools for law firms by analyzing court dockets, legal filings, and other data.

• Tax: Developing centralized platforms for tax professionals using AI and regulatory content.

• Government: Delivering political and policy intelligence to government professionals using news, data, and AI tools.

• Close strong: Ask meaningful questions. Reinforce your interest and readiness to learn and grow.

• Plan before coding: Write pseudocode or outline your approach to show your thought process.

• Practice data structures & algorithms: Know your fundamentals—arrays, trees, graphs, hash maps, etc.

• Focus on runtime and space complexity: Interviewers care about efficiency as much as correctness.

• LeetCode is your best friend: Not to memorize, but to recognize patterns.

• Communicate constantly: Explain your reasoning. If stuck, talk through your thinking. Interviewers want to see how you think, not just whether you get it right.

• Be okay with imperfection: Even if your solution isn’t perfect, showing resilience, adaptability, and critical thinking matters a lot.
