This VTHacks workshop will walk you through the essentials of Python programming, from variables and loops to functions and data structures, in a clear, effective way. We’ll also show how these basics connect to real hackathon projects, so you’ll leave ready to put Python to work at VTHacks.

The Internship Series is a semester-long lineup of workshops and panels created to guide students through every stage of the internship search from crafting application materials to preparing for interviews and thriving on the job. Each session builds practical skills and provides insider tips to help you stand out to employers.

The second event is a Full Stack Project Workshop, designed primarily for computer science students interested in gaining hands-on website development experience, though all are welcome to attend. This session will walk you through creating a quick full stack project, including GitHub basics, building a website, and managing both the front-end and back-end. By the end, you’ll have practical knowledge that goes beyond the classroom and a stronger foundation in web development to highlight in future internship applications.
