Wassup, ColorStack family! We hope your first week of classes went well, and that you enjoyed that 3 day weekend (Wish it was 4). Just in case you don’t know about us, ColorStack is a non-profit organization with the mission of “increasing the number of Black and Latinx computer science graduates who go on to have successful technical careers”. At ColorStack@VT, we are dedicated to amplifying the presence and success of Black and Latinx Hokies in the tech industry. 🧩 Leetcode Friday
The semester has officially started, so we can’t make you wait too long to start Stacking your resume. Leetcode Friday is a weekly event designed to help members build proficiency in solving LeetCode problems and strengthen coding skills essential for technical interviews. Participants will gain confidence working with a variety of data structures through guided practice and problem-solving sessions, preparing them for internships and technical interview success. Make sure you guys come if you want to be as prepared as possible for your technical interviews!

🚀 September GBM: Ignition
Kick off the semester with our first General Body Meeting (GBM) of the semester! Come learn about our club, our mission, the exciting events we have planned, and meet the leadership team. We’ll also dive into a fun, hands-on activity — building spaghetti and marshmallow tower rockets, a perfect way to break the ice and spark creativity. Food and drinks will be provided, so bring your energy and ideas as we set the tone for an amazing semester together!

💻 Caterpillar Virtual Info Session
Join Caterpillar for a special Speaker Event. This hour-and-a-half session will feature two guest speakers from Caterpillar who will share their experiences working at the company, their unique career paths, and the engineering accomplishments that shaped their journeys. Don’t miss this opportunity to gain insight into the industry, learn from accomplished professionals, and ask questions about what it’s like to work at a global leader in engineering and manufacturing.
